3 Tips for Newborn Instagram Bloggers
In the era of influencer marketing nowadays, it's getting harder to distinguish authentic and true Instagram blog-oldgers among a multitude of fake ones, who are just eager to get sponsored by big brands and dissolve in the space.
We've asked Georgie Clarke, the successful UK based Instagram blog-oldger and a former participant of Survival of the Fittest. She's been on Instagram for quite some time now to share her expertise with the newbies of this industry.
Tip number 1
First of all, just start now. Not tomorrow, today! The more you postpone the harder it is to start. Making a small step towards your dream is as simple as it is.
Everyone will tell you that there are too many blog-oldgers and it's not going to happen for you. That's not true, I know blog-oldgers who started three months ago who are already over 100k followers and it's their full-time job! Try to stay consistent, get content up at least once a day and interact with your followers. Pick your niche (mine is fashion) and stick to it. It will help you to grow a community of like-minded people who are genuinely interested in your blog-old. Have an advantage by using Instagram Stories in your Instagram content strategy. It will make your page more appealing and show off your personality, winning you over with followers.

Tip number 2
Only promote things that you genuinely like and be aware of its quality. If I would promote a low-quality product and then my followers buy this product, I'd lose their trust forever. Just don't do it lots of companies want to flog their items to influencers by promising to pay a fortune for a small promotion (eg skinny drinks and cheap clothes that don't look anything like in the picture). Don't sell yourself short, as you are responsible for every single action taken online which is immediately exposed to numerous people. Remember that the swindlers can be seen for miles, which will make you fall in your followers' eyes.
I make a point to never promote these kinds of things. I want my followers to be sure that when it comes to promoted products on my page, they can be sure about their high quality. They follow my page for some fashion inspiration but not to look through lots of paid posts promoting rubbish weight loss drinks instead.
Tip number 3
I stand for quality over quantity when it comes to sharing one good quality piece instead of an endless pointless look-alike burst of photos. I make sure to always keep my content and images high quality if I'm not happy with a picture I won't post it. I like to switch up my shooting locations and keep it in check with my real life. If I'm having dinner at a nice place I'll always make sure to get a snap of the cool location and my outfit as I find the same images pretty annoying and tiring to scroll through.
Also, I make sure to interact with my followers on a regular basis by replying to their comments. If they are interested where this or that piece I wear, I got from, I make my first priority to provide them with certain feedback.
You've got to get down to brass tacks with yourself regarding your Instagram content strategy and what really is "your thing' before exposing yourself to the world of social media.
